Overview

King Suit Cave Room

This cave suit room was opened for use by the historic district residents each year, with a specific portion allocated for their own use. They worked together with their neighbors to create a sheltered area.

By sharing this sheltered area amongst themselves, these families have given us an important clue as to how social and cultural relationships have developed in this region.

As the local volcanic tuff rocks provide a cool environment in summer and a warm one in winter, they chose to use these natural formations as their living space rather than constructing stone buildings.

Taking inspiration from their unique architectural style, we have restored this room by blending the old with the new, and are pleased to offer you a comfortable environment to rest in the mystical atmosphere of history.

We invite you to explore this cave suit room and experience a unique stay.
